Last Night of Proms coming to Sutton

Sutton Choral Society will welcome Blidworth Welfare Band to present ‘Last Night of the Proms’ at a concert on Saturday.

Conducted by Robert Steadman, the society will sing a wide range of popular music including songs by Andrew Lloyd Webber and a selection from ‘My Fair Lady’.

The band, under the baton of Martin Heartfield, will be performing a range of marches, solos and popular items, including songs by Glenn Miller and Michael Jackson, before leading the traditional Last Night of the Proms music.

The concert is at the United Reformed Church on Sutton’s High Pavement and starts at 7pm. Tickets are priced £5 and available on the door.
