With the first ever Mayor’s Community Parade around the corner it is the last chance to sign up to take part.

On Sunday, June 10, charities, groups, businesses and the mayor Kate Allsop will be parading around Mansfield’s town centre. Currently hundreds of people from 41 groups are signed up to take part, including 150 Scouts.

It is now the last chance to sign up, with entry for the parade closing on Wednesday, May 31.

Councillor Stewart Rickersey one of the organisers said: “It is free to come along and watch. After the parade there will be an impressive bouncy castle and beer tent.”

The parade is expected to run from 11am to 12.30pm and was organised by Mansfield Rotary, the Sister Cities Association and Mansfied District Council. It will run from Chesterfield Road South through the town centre via Leeming Street before heading to the Civic Centre from Rosemary Street.

A ‘showground’ will be open from 10am to 6pm after the parade with live music and stalls.
