Last chance to have strategic plan say

People across Ashfield have just over a week to give their views on Nottinghamshire County Council’s draft strategic plan, which sets out its vision for the next four years.

Open for consultation until 25th October, it expects to steer the local authority through anticipated further government funding cuts.

Five priorities have been outlined, each with outcomes the council aim to achieve.

l Supporting safe and thriving communities

l Protecting the environment

l Supporting economic growth and the employment

l Providing care and promoting health

l Helping individuals reach their potential.

Councillor Alan Rhodes, leader of Nottinghamshire County Council, said: “The final plan will directly impact the services we provide in the future and how we allocate our budgets.”
