Kirkby shop robbed at knifepoint

A robber has has happened in Kirkby.

A man with a knife stole cash from a Kirkby Co-op.

It has been reported that a man entered the stop on Chapel Street, Kirkby, before producing a knife and demanding cash from the till.

He left the store with a small quantity of cash.

No-one was hurt during the incident.

It happened just after 9pm yesterday (Saturday, December, 9, 2017).

A spokesperson from Nottinghamshire Police said: "The offender, who covered his face, is black and was wearing a dark coloured coat. He ran from the store and turned right towards Victoria Road."

Police are appealing for information.
