Greenwood Primary School in Kirkby are celebrating a top kitchen score rating.
The school’s kitchen facilities were classed as a two - but after a recent inspected they were given the highest possible rating - five stars - by Foods Standards Agency.
Headteacher Kim Harvey said she was delighted.
She said: “When we were given a two it was due to the flooring, we have never had a hygiene issue. And this reflects that. We are thoroughly delighted to be recognised for the high standards of the school.”
