The Charnwood Training Group Academy on Sutton Road, Kirkby, is opening its doors to job seekers of all ages on Wednesday (28th November) between 3pm and 7pm.
Anyone interested in a career is hospitality is invited to attend to talk to employers, discuss vacancies and take part in a range of practical, hands-on workshops, including barista training, table service skills and sushi making.
The open event, which takes place within Charnwood’s purpose-built kitchens and training academy, is being run in conjunction with the National Apprenticeship Service, Mansfield & Ashfield Partnership, Job Centre Plus and several national industry employers.
Job seekers will also be able to register for the National Apprenticeship Vacancy Matching Service and find out about how it can help them find the right job.
Academy manager Craig Harrison said: “Our door is always open for job seekers to come and discuss ways we can help them find meaningful work.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking for, or considering, a career in hospitality – be they 16, 36 or 56 – to come and meet with all the people who can help them in one place at one time.”
