Majid Akhtar, 28, from Nottingham, drowned at the reservoir on September 10, 2012 when he was out on an activity day from Springwood Day Centre.

Earlier this month, the inquest, at Nottingham Coroner’s Court, was told that Majid’s carer, Nikki Deaney was exchanging calls and texts at the time she was supposed to be supervising him.

He was pronounced dead at King’s Mill Hospital.

The court awaits the jury’s verdict.
