King’s Mill launches annual toy appeal

Last year local businesses and the community were unstoppable in their efforts to ensure that Santa arrived with sacks full of presents.

And this Christmas organisers hope the charity challenge will be bigger and better, a spokesman for the trust said.

Radio station managing director Tony Delahunty said: “Our continued support of the Toy Appeal proves that we are at the heart of the community and that the businesses we work with are the best in the area.”

Donations will be presented on 20th December, the last day of the appeal, at a special live broadcast from the children’s ward.

Hospital play leader Nicola Armstrong said: “It amazes me that, even in these hard times, people come out in force to support their hospital and bring smiles to the faces of our younger patients.”
