HELLO and welcome to the latest edition of Kids’ Squad.
I hope you all enjoyed the Hallowe’en and Bonfire Night celebrations. We got into the Hallowe’en spirit by inviting children into Chad HQ and giving away free sweeties!
This week, I’ve got news about the Horrible Histories show at Nottingham’s Theatre Royal. I’ve also got goodie bags to give away to two lucky readers!
To enter our competition or to send a picture or story to me, write to Kids’ Squad, Mansfield Chad, 121, Newgate Lane, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire NG18 2PA. In the meantime, enjoy your week.
ARE you ready to experience the GRUESOME sewers of Victorian England or find out about Henry VIII’s HEADLESS wives?
If the answer is ‘yes’, then a brand new Horrible Histories show at Nottingham’s Theatre Royal could be just for you!
The show gives you a chance to delve into some of the nastiest parts of our past - and will use amazing Bogglevision 3D special effects to bring it to life.
It runs from 14th to 18th November. For details call (0115) 989 5555 or visit www.trch.co.uk.
• We have got two copies of Horrible Histories Vile Victorians and goodie bags up for grabs. If you want to be in with a chance of winning one, buy this week’s Chad.
YOU will be able to see talented children singing some wonderful songs at Mansfield Museum’s Cool Choirs show. Youngsters from primary schools in the Mansfield and Ashfield area will perform songs from their favourite pop decade - and some even dress up and put together their own dance routines! They then perform for their family, friends, other schools and the museum’s visitors.
The event takes place from today until Friday with performances at 10.15am and 1.15pm. For further details on this event contact the museum on Mansfield 463088.
