CHILDREN from St Patrick’s Roman Catholic School in Mansfield were given the chance to get creative when they took part in the Big Draw.
As part of the event pupils aged three to 11 contributed to a huge picture which has been put on display in the school’s dining room.
Big Draw events have been taking part across the region as part of the national campaign to get more people involved in art.
Office manager Jane Dennis said: “Everyone got involved and had a go. It’s huge and goes all the way around the dining room.
“All the pictures had a ‘line’ theme, there was everything from lines under the sea to washing lines!
“The Big Draw event takes place every year and there are lots of things going on all over the place. It’s great at getting people involved.
“We have taken part every year.”
I know I probably shouldn’t mention it yet - but Christmas is not far away. In the lead up, Bolsover Castle is set to host an event which will definitely get you into the festive mood. The castle is holding Festive Family Fun Trail when you and your family will be invited to help solve a series of clues to win a prize. The trail takes place on 1st and 2nd December between 11am and 2pm so why not go along and give it a go?
You can buy tickets at the event. For more details search for Bolsover Castle on the English Heritage website.
