Kids have chance to name new helicopter

Youngsters are being asked to put their thinking caps on to come up with a name for a new air ambulance.

The Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance Charity has launched a children’s competition to name its new state-of-the-art ambucopter. The helicopter will be an AgustaWestland AW169, its registration number will be G-LNAC and the crew will use the call sign Helimed 29 Alpha when called out.

The contest is open to Nottinghamshire children in year six or below and the prize is a visit with their family to the air ambulance base at RAF Waddington.

To enter, children should say what they would name the new ambucopter and why in no more than 50 words and email it to [email protected] by Sunday, July 31.
