Kerry Katona’s new autobiography ‘Still Standing’ is being released this month and the TV star will be signing copies at Asda in Forest Town, at 12.30pm on Wednesday 28th November.
Since bursting on the scene in 1999 with girl band Atomic Kitten, hardly a week has gone by without Kerry Katona hitting the headlines. For over a decade she has been one of our most talked about celebrities but not always for good reason. From accusations of drug abuse, plastic surgery and infidelity to ‘that’ episode on This Morning, her turbulent life has been the subject of thousands of articles.
ut now in ‘Still Standing’, Kerry is ready to tell her side of the story and she’s not pulling any punches!
To be published by Orion on 22nd November, the book picks up from where her first autobiography, Too Much Too Young (2006) left off… Facing betrayal by her friends and even members of her own family coupled with a run of crises spanning infidelity, embezzlement, kidnap, bankruptcy and even armed robbery Kerry has survived and regained control of her life and tackled her problems head-on.
According to Kerry: “Writing this book was really tough as it covers the period when I was at my lowest ebb. It’s been incredibly therapeutic though and I hope it will in some small way help inspire others who might be going through difficult times to keep fighting no matter what.
“But it’s not all tears – despite everything that has happened I’ve tried to keep smiling and learned to laugh at whatever life has thrown at me.”
Commenting on the book, Amanda Harris, Publishing Director of Orion Non-Fiction, said: “So much has happened to Kerry in the last six years. She’s been pushed to the brink of total mental collapse but has rebuilt her life, piece by piece. She doesn’t pull any punches; this is Kerry, back to her fabulous best.
“Readers will laugh and cry along with her. It’s a fascinating read from the nation’s favourite come-back kid.”
And look out in Chad over future weeks for the chance to meet Kerry when she comes to Asda.
