A SHORT guide has been published for folk who want to hold street parties to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in Amber Valley.
Amber Valley Borough Council says there have been a handful of applications for street closures to be held on or around the date of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, between 2md-5th June.
The council normally requires at least six week’s notice to notify it of any closure - although it has relaxed its rules for the Jubilee and wants residents to give as much notice as possible, but no shorter than one week’s notice if they want to close their street.
The guide also provides advice about food safety, staying safe and advice about entertainment and alcohol licences.
l Anyone who would like to arrange a street party and would need to close a road should contact 01773 841662 .
