Jobs on offer as Range store opens in Sutton

More than 100 jobs are set to be created as The Range opens its doors later this year.

The multi-purpose product store, that will be located at Station Road, will open its doors in March - bringing with it new employment opportunities.

The Range offers more than 65,000 products across 16 departments including DIY, homewares, furniture and arts & crafts.

Owner Chris Dawson said the opening of the shop wold bring much-needed jobs into the area.

He said: “The opening will create around 100 part-time and full-time jobs; from store and department managers to warehouse workers and administrators which will allow opportunities for staff to develop skills and grow with the company.

“We feel that The Range is a unique shopping experience that has something for everyone and we are confident that the people of Sutton will enjoy what The Range has to offer.

“We are a fast growing company and I am confident that The Range in Sutton will play an important role in our expansion.”

He thanked the council for their support.

Mr Dawson added: “I look forward to inviting the people of Sutton down to see what we are all about.”

Councillor Jim Aspinall said he was delighted with the opening.

He said; “The creation of 100 jobs is fantastic news for the area and the people here.

“This is all part of a movement in our regeneration development to create the right atmosphere and promote the area and all of its benefits.

Jobs are vital for us to grow and develop the area.”
