With the weather cooling, it’s a good time to test some hotter food, and nowhere better to start than the Quality Jacket Potato van on Market Place.
They always taste better than home-cooked, are always reasonable value and very filling. The price was £2.50 for one filling, £2.80 for two or £3.10 for three. I went for the classic beans and cheese. Tasty indeed, but the best part of a jacket potato is the skin, and unfortunately it failed the crunch test.
The butter and beans may not have helped that, but it was still a bit disappointing. However, it is value for cash, and with the winter on its way, I may return for more.
