INQUEST: Wait continues for family of Lewis Crouch

An inquest has opened into the death of Mansfield teenager, Lewis Crouch, who was killed in a scooter crash.

Assistant Coroner for Nottingham Ivan Cartwright said the young man died of "multiple injuries", when he opened the inquest on Tuesday, February 14.

Lewis died after a collision with a car whic was travelling in the same direction on Peafield Lane outside Mansfield Woodhouse on February 3.

The cause of death is so far "provisional" and the completion of the inquest is pending further enquiries.

A party was held for his friends at his home, the Black Bull Pub in Mansfield Woodhouse, by mum Cheryl Broughton and step-dad Garry Broughton.

A funeral date has been set for February 21 and a procession of hundreds of bikes is expected to honour him.
