Inquest into stab victim’s death
An inquest into the death of a Hucknall man was opened and adjourned this week, pending the outcome of a murder trial.

Assistant coronor Amanda Cranny opened proceedings on Monday to note that Karl Bloxham, 39, ‘was tragically killed in an incident on July 29.’
An ambulance was called to his home at Spruce Grove in Hucknall where the crew found Mr Bloxham outside, having sustained ‘serious injuries’. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Queen’s Medical Centre.
Mr Bloxham’s body was identified by his father Edward on July 31.
A post mortem carried out by Professor Guy Rutty on July 30 revealed that the cause of death was a a stab wound to the chest.

Mr Bloxham’s former girlfriend, Ellisha Allen, 28, of Spruce Grove, Hucknall, appeared in Nottingham Magistrates’ Court last month charged with his murder. Magistrates sent the case straight to crown court.
News of Mr Bloxham’s death sparked messages of shock and grief on social media, as well as cards and floral tributes outside his home.
Miss Cranny offered her condolences to the family and friends of Mr Bloxham.
