A Huthwaite mum has become a ‘knock-out’ after an intense seven week boxing course - and will get in the ring to fight - all to raise cash for charity. April Hunt (35) decided to get involved with the Pink Collar Boxing to get fit and also help the British Lung Foundation Charity. She chose the charity as her father-in-law died of cardiopulmonary disease in 2006. April, of Lower Meadow Mane, said: “I have never done anything like this before and as I’m overweight I thought this would be great way to get fit as well as raise money for charity. “I’m not someone who would do yoga, so boxing was perfect for me.” The match takes place on Sunday at the Waterfall pub in Derby. The boxing efforts have so far raised £460 and hopes to hit the £500 target. April added: “I would really like to raise £500, but any amount raised will be wonderful as it is such a fantastic charity.” Visit www.justgiving.com/April-Hunt to donate.
