Hundreds turn out for ‘a great evening’

Hundreds of people turned out to shop, browse and enjoy the sights at Mansfield’s evening market last week.

Organised by the Mansfield Business Improvement District (BID), the market featured around 50 stalls, food and refreshments, musicians and a bouncy castle, on Thursday 7th August.

BID Manager Sarah Nelson said: “It was a great evening, with positive feedback from stall-holders and visitors. It was lovely to see families enjoying themselves.”

Elaine McGreade, who owns Hops in a Bottle, had a stall at the event. She said: “It was good to see lots of folks enjoying themselves visiting the variety of stalls, eating goodies and listening to the music. Another success for Mansfield BID.”

Tammy Bevan, of Clipstone, visited the market with her daughter Tilly (nine).

She said: “It was a really good event. It would be nice to have a number of these markets as they do seem popular.”
