Hucknall vet to chop off hair for charity

A vet nurse from Hucknall is to her long locks chopped off for charity this month.

Marie Derry (31), of Nabbs Lane, will have her hair cut at the Arena Hair salon in aid of The Cinnamon Trust and Support Dogs on Friday 25th July.

The amount of hair she has cut off will depend on how much money she raises - and Marie has said she is happy to end up bald if she reaches her target of £1,000.

Marie, who works at the Orchard Veterinary Centre, said: “We enjoy fundraising for good causes at the practice and were trying to think of some different ideas for this year. My hair is very long at the moment. While the thought of having it all cut off is a bit daunting, it will be worth it if it helps to raise funds for the two charities we are supporting and it will grow back!”
