Hucknall Rotary Club tea party for pensioners is a great success
This annual feature has been under the organisation of the Hucknall club since the Second World War and was originally ran by the Whist Club back in the 1920s.
The former Hucknall Dispatch Editor (and founding Hucknall rotarian) Henry Morley, was a keen supporter of the event and even left a legacy to ensure its continuation.

“Year 8 students from Hucknall’s Holgate Academy showcased their performing art talents impressing all with their skills expressed through art, dance, music and drama,” said Rotary chairman, Ian Young. “Special mention must go to Kiera Tarpey, who although very nervous, gave a jaw-dropping high energy dance routine.”
