Hucknall church fair fundraiser collects £650

Fundraisers at Hucknall’s Seymour Road Baptist Church were rewarded for “a great team effort” with its annual Autumn Fayre which brought in £650.

Church stalwarts Nova Haskey,Brenda Ward and the Revd Vanessa Hollingworth, were the driving force behind the event which was notable for its admirable community support.

Bargain hunters were out in force and a variety of stalls satisfied their every need, with books, cottage crafts, handmade goods, clothing, collectables and toys just a few of the attractions.

A raffle and tombola as well as a wide range of food further boosted the efforts of the busy church team.

“Teamwork and great support from local people played its part in the event’s success,” said organiser, Brenda Ward.
