Plans have been submitted to transform an old social club in to housing.
The application has been submitted to Mansfield District Council to turn the old Howard Road Social Club into a shared house.
The site, which is already within a residential area, could be transformed into a multiple-occupied house, with up to six bedrooms with shared bathroom and shower facilities. The building, as a social club, has been closed for several years and has been described as being in a ‘state of dilapidation’.
The club had been on the market as a potential property to be used for retail space, such as a convenience store.
If given the green light, there would be no additional parking spaces other than two off-street spaces that already exist.
