Yvonne Wragg said: “He has a significant amphetamine problem. Over the last five years he has not been in trouble so much, but very recently the amphetamine problem has returned.”

She told the court that Wyatt had been living in a horse stable which belonged to his partner at the time of his arrest.

When arrested, Wyatt ‘immediately told police that he had a knife,’ said Ms Wragg.

“He wasn’t aware it was an offence.”

She said the bikes were stolen from a garage that was not attached to the house and one of the bikes had been recovered.

“He’s found himself in difficulty of late. He was doing quite well but probation are concerned about his mental health.”

She said he had been diagnosed with a multiple split personality and had been hearing voices.

The court heard his partner was expecting a child.

“He wants to try and be a good dad for his unborn child. He accepts that the only way for him to get clean is to go to prison.”

Magistrates sentenced him to a total of 42 weeks in custody with 12 weeks, to run concurrently, for breaching a conditional discharge.

He was ordered to pay £80 compensation to the bike owner.
