High hopes for two Hucknall projects

Nottinghamshire County Council decides next Thursday 2nd April on two £20,000 funding bids for Hucknall.

Welbeck Community Association hopes to regenerate the Broomhill Road shops area, while Butler’s Hill and Goodall Tenants and Residents Association want to improve facilities on Butler’s Hill rec. Plans have been drawn up by Ashfield District Council, who will match-fund the schemes if the bids are successful.

Coun Alice Grice said: “The local groups work hard to improve their areas for the benefits of all residents and it will be great to see their work rewarded by getting these long awaited schemes off the ground.”
