Leader of Ashfield District Council, Coun Chris Baron, said: “The Women Who Do programme for Ashfield and Mansfield is proving hugely popular and demonstrates that a culture of enterprise is alive and well in our communities.

“We are delighted to be supporting our local women who want to be successful entrepreneurs.”

Coun Kate Allsop, portfolio holder for economic regeneration at Mansfield District Council, added: “The Women Who Do programme aims to support women who have a business idea they want to develop. It is a great opportunity for women to explore new avenues and bring about change in their lives.

“Using expert help, the project offers one to one support to women to nurture and develop their strengths and skills and to break down barriers. I would urge any woman who is interested in working for herself to come along to the launch of this life changing programme. All the support is absolutely free and in confidence.”
