THE hunt will be on for the area’s very own Marcus Collins or Little Mix when Mansfield Rotary Club hosts the prestigious Junior Showtime competition in February.

Heats take place at the town’s newly refurbished Library Theatre on West Gate on 1st February - which is Youngsters’ Night for seven to 11 year olds - as well as 6th/7th and 8th February at 6.30pm each night.

The final will be held at the Mansfield Palace Theatre on 18th February.

Organisers say they are looking for vocalists, instrumentalists, dancers, variety acts and dance troupes.

The 2011 contest was won by dance group, Flying High Expressive Arts - the second year an act from the organisation has won the title.

They beat off competition from 28 other finalists to take the crown with a stunning contemporary dance performance depicting the history of the iconic Berlin Wall.

Entrants must be 18 or under on 18th February and seven or over on 1st February. Deadline for entries is 25th January.
