New acupuncture plea

RAINWORTH woman Theresa Pruszak is renewing an appeal made in Chad earlier this year against the withdrawal of acupuncture treatment at King Mill Hospital’s pain clinic.

Theresa (66), of Southwell Avenue, suffers with crippling pain in her knee cap.

Now she has persuaded Sherwood MP Mark Spencer to back her campaign against Nottinghamshire County NHS Trust’s decision to no longer fund acupuncture treatment except for patients with pain in the lower back.

Mr Spencer said the Health Secretary had accepted the primary care trust’s decision but he would continue to appeal.
