Having a laugh at the library!

YOUNGSTERS show off their impressive array of performing skills at the new Old Library Comedy Collective in Mansfield.

The club is a young person’s initiative developed to use comedy as an art form to hone performance skills, meet new people and build confidence.

Various styles of comedy including mime, slapstick, scripted dialogue and movement are taught and the group is now devising a live act to be performed at various venues across Mansfield and the East Midlands.

The collective was born from the success of a comedy week organised by County Youth Arts which 30 teenagers took part in over the summer.

The workshops run every Monday night from 4.30 to 6pm and anyone interested in joining the club should contact creative clown Adam Pownall by emailing olcc@live.co.uk or contact the group’s base at the Old Library on 07925981369.
