Ghost hunters are scaring more than just the terrified tourists they take along for a haunting as they send chills right across the internet.

The team of seven Notts spectre spotters are pioneers of a one-of-a-kind hunt, streamed live over Facebook as they explore the dark corners of a ‘haunted’ corner of Mansfield

Paul Stevenson who runs HauntedLIVE said the weird and wonderful tour is unique, with completely un-edited footage streamed to thousands on social media while it happens.

He said: “We’ve been doing live ghost hunts for four or five months now, exclusively live on Facebook, and no one else does them.

“We’re not scientists, we’re not experts, we’re mates with an interest in the paranormal.

“We get scared and spooked just as much as everyone else - some more than others, We just have a laugh and go to locations looking for ghosts.

“We investigate and you can interact, telling us where to go, what you see, what you hear. There no editing, no carefully selecting the best bits out of an all night ghost hunt. There’s no script, no auto-cue, no pretence.”

And their next ghost-busting tour is set to take place on Saturday at The Village in Mansfield, delving into the depths of a disused brewery, a slaughterhouse and former nightclub.

Paul added: “It’s just raw and live so viewers can interact with us at home, tell us where to go and what they can hear and see.

“We had 10,000 viewers on our last one and the Village is proving to be one of the most popular locations this year for paranormal groups.

“Bearing in mind that we’re all fairly sceptical, a lot happened that we couldn’t explain. It was probably the most active night we’ve experienced during our live broadcasts. As well as the usual taps, bangs and creaks, we all heard footsteps, whispering, saw shadowy figures and as daft as it sounds felt like we were being watched and toyed with as if it was some kind of game.”
