One of Mansfield’s business success stories since the turn of the century, Hall-Fast Industrial Supplies, is flying the flag at a national level alongside household names.
For the firm has made the first shortlist for the National Responsible Business Champion 2018, chosen by MPs and other Parliamentary bigwigs.
The award recgnises firms who go that extra mile to show commitment to their communities, customers, employees and suppliers.
Hall-Fast, which is one of the fastest growing companies in the region, was nominated for the award by Mansfield’s MP, Ben Bradley for the way it supports local charities and community projects.
Now the All-Party Parliamentary Corporate Responsibility Group (APCRG), which runs the award scheme, has named it in the top 20, which will soon be whittled down to a final shortlist. The overall winner will be announced on Wednesday, July 4.
Hall-Fast boss Malcolm Hall said: “We are very proud to have been named alongside the likes of BAE Systems, De La Rue plc, Tottenham Hostpur Football Club and WH Smith.
“We are particularly proud that the success of our business has enabled us to do our bit for the communities of Mansfield and Ashfield, including fundraisiong initiatives for Mansfield’s Fountaindale School.”
The co-chair of APCRG, Baroness Sally Greengross, said: “It is very encouraging to hear of companies doing such wonderful work. We hope their success will inspire other companies to follow the positive example they set.”
