Rufford Abbey's annual celebration of all things clay returns this June bringing together over 140 potters to sell their work from market stalls set amidst the ruins and courtyards.

The Earth and Fire International Ceramic Fair takes place at Rufford Abbey Country Park on June 24, 25 and 26, each day from 10am to 5pm. Entrance is free but with a £5 car parking charge

Visitors can buy everything from garden planters and sculptures, to bowls, teapots, mugs, plates and eggcups. With prices ranging from £10 for smaller pieces to several hundred pounds for large-scale creations, Earth & Fire is the perfect place to pick up fantastic handmade ceramics.

Throughout this relaxed and friendly event, visitors can meet the makers, browse, buy and watch demonstrations by featured potters from across the UK and Europe.

The Earth and Fire International Ceramic Fair is an extremely popular event and Rufford Abbey is always a stunning setting to host the fair, which attracts many talented ceramicists from both home and abroad to showcase their work.

Exhibitors this year include:

Rachel Wood - Based at the Artist Workshops at Welbeck, Rachel teaches pottery at the Welbeck Pottery Studio and exhibits her work across the UK.

Ben Dodd - Based in Nottingham, Ben is the son of long time Earth & Fire exhibitor, respected potter Mike Dodd. Ben is just embarking on his career and is exhibiting for the first time on a newcome stall.

Suzanne Lukacs- Ringel & Marike Ringel - A mother and daughter will be exhibiting this year. Suzanne is one of our regular German exhibitors and this year we are thrilled her daughter, Marike, who has made her home in Devon, will also be joining us. Although their work is very different they both show mastery of clay.

Niek and Pim Hoogland - Niek made his first visit to Earth & Fire in 1995 and has come every year since. He also spent time in residence at Rufford making new work. They will also be celebrating the 25th anniversary of their pottery based in the monastic village of Steyl.

Rufford Abbey Country Park is managed by Nottinghamshire County Council which hosts the annual ceramic fair event.
