Green-fingered gift from school’s pupils
Green-fingered students at Samworth Church Academy visited neighbours to deliver home-grown tomatoes, harvested from greenhouses on the school site.
The project has been a joint undertaking between the site team and students , and follows previous surprise gifts for local residents at Easter and Christmas.
David Jackson from the academy said: “The opportunity to include others in the rewards of their work made the process very worthwhile for all.”
