Great British Bake Off comes to Hucknall

Children from a Hucknall primary school went cooking crazy this week when they took part in the Beardall Bake Off competition.

Pupils at Beardall Fields Primary School who achieved 'Star Baker' status in a bake-off organised by senior teaching assistant, Lisa Mather and judged by school volunteer, and Mary Berry for the day, Christine Sinclair.

Youngsters were invited to bake a cake or cupcakes by Mrs Lisa Mather to raise money forbaking equipment.

“We had an overwhelming response and our ‘Mary Berry’ judge was Mrs Christine Sinclair,” said office manager, Jill Rosier. “The cakes were sold to parents and raised over £200.”
