But rather than just being angry I decided to do something about it. I know there’s no shortage of talent here which is why I’ve called companies like E-on, Caunton Engineering and Severn Trent and asked them if they’ll come along and take part and recruit locally.

Banks – they are an everyday necessity but sometimes the multitude of tariffs and accounts on offer can be quite confusing.

I’ve just dealt with one case, where a constituent queried the level of charges being levied on his business account. After writing to the chief executive, the bank actually agreed to change the charging structure which means the gentleman will now see a decent reduction in his monthly costs.

I’m sure there are more people out there in exactly the same boat too so don’t be afraid to challenge them or give me a call.

I’m one of those people that regularly checks the weather forecasts and I’ll be praying for good weather on Saturday (7th June) when the good people involved at Home Start, Sutton, are hosting a garden party.

The best thing about having a regular column over the last few months has been being able to show off the writing skills of some of the brilliant kids from local schools.

I don’t think my family could either. My sister plays crown green bowling and plays for Ashfield Bowls Club and she also plays for England. I like football and enjoy training on the GB on Sutton Lawn.

There are a lot more places to go, which is good if you are active. The most important thing is everyone is kind and I love my friends. I don’t know what I would do without them. My school is the best ever. I go to Leamington Primary Academy, which has the best teachers ever. So that’s why I love Sutton so much.’
