Villagers turned out in force to celebrate the annual Glapwell Carnival.
Rcahel Hibbert, one of the organisers, said the day, which featured a parade and a fun day, was “excellent”.
She said: “There was an excellent turn out, even though it was a bit too hot to stay too long. The performers were great under the conditions as it was so warm, and Pete Barton from Emmerdale was great, he stayed until late.
“We are already working on next year’s carnival and are always working to top the previous year.
“In 2020, the carnival will be 10 years old, so we want to do something special for that.”
