Glapwell bonfire sets tree on fire

Firefighters from Bolsover were called to extinguish a tree fire, which had been sparked by embers from a bonfire nearby.

At 9.02pm on Saturday, crews attended the incident in Park Avenue, Glapwell.

Upon arrival, they found a tree stump and undergrowth on fire.

The blaze had started to due embers, which had been blown from a nearby bonfire.

Crews extinguished the tree fire, as well as the bonfire.

They left the scene at 9.22pm.
