ACTIVITY clubs in Mansfield and Ashfield are throwing open their doors to welcome more young people from this weekend.
Nottinghamshire County Council has organised nine days of youth activities giving youngsters a chance to try out different sports, games and hobbies in clubs across the district with no obligation to join.
Sports include hockey, table tennis, netball and football at locations including Westfield Folkhouse Young People’s Centre in Mansfield.
Indoor activities include board games, table football and darts, while kids can also try their hand at gardening, cooking and musical theatre classes.
There are team and individual skills events with the emphasis on trying something new and making friends.
Activities run from Saturday until 23rd October at youth centres, sports clubs and theatres across the district.
“Everyone is welcome, you might learn something new, make some new friends and enjoy yourself too,” said a Nottinghamshire County Council spokesman.
