Green-fingered folk and “crafty” people from the Mansfield area are invited to the town’s Garden and Craft festival.
Organised by Mansfield Business Improvement District (BID) and sponsored by The Trustees for the Allotments for the Labouring Poor, the event takes place on September 14th and 15th.
Both days take place in a large marquee on Mansfield Market Place between 11am and 3pm.
On the Saturday, there will be vegetable, flower and allotment competitions, while on the Sunday there is a Best in Baking contest and then an awards ceremony at 2pm.
There will be a range of entertainment, activities for children, music, crafts, food and drink, gardening stalls and demonstrations.
Sarah Nelson, manager at Mansfield BID, said: “Gardening is enjoyed by many people, and there are often waiting times to become an allotment holder.
“We’ve arranged a number of town centre activities over the summer that have helped to bring more people into Mansfield and this is one for those who like the great outdoors.”
