Funeral of Warsop soldier Lee Bonsall

HUNDREDS of mourners paid tribute to Warsop army veteran Lee Bonsall on Friday at his funeral at the town’s parish church.

The ex-solider’s coffin, draped in a Union Jack flag with flowers on top, was carried from the main road and into the church as fellow mourners looked on.

Speakers positioned outside the church played music as the funeral procession was followed into the church - many of those paying their respects listened to the service outside.

After prayers, tributes to the 24-year-old ex-serviceman were read out by loved ones and music by Black Stone Cherry was played.

Lee was found hanged on 3rd March by his wife in their South Wales home. His family say the Warsop man was let down by the Ministry of Defence when he was suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.
