Fresh bid to attract organ donors across Notts
Sherwood Forest Hospitals will hold a organ donation poster competition to encourage people to sign up to the organ donor register.
The competition was launched on 16th April, and all ages are invited to take part and help raise awareness.
Claire Ward, non-executive director of the trust, said: “Most people think of organ donation as the giving of major organs such as heart and lungs and are unaware that they can, for example, give the gift of sight to someone who is blind through corneal donation.”
Poster design guidelines can be found at the trust’s ‘Give the Gift of Life’ website and the winning piece will be unveiled at King’s Mill Hospital on 18th May .
