MURDER squad detectives have renewed their appeal for information to help snare the killer of a 25-year-old woman.
Jia Ashton’s body was found dumped in Sleetmore woods, Somercotes, close to the Thorntons chocolate headquarters where she worked, on Sunday.
She had been the victim of a ‘serious assault’ and was last seen alive leaving work at just after 5pm on Thursday 10th March.
Det Chief Supet Steve Cotterill, of Derbyshire Police, said they were appealing to anyone who was in the area between 4-7pm on the evening of her disappearance to come forward immediately.
He said: “We know there were several dog walkers around at that time who have not contacted us. Even if they did not see anything they think is out of the ordinary it is important that we talk to them so we know who they are and which route they took.
“I believe the key to finding out who killed Jia will be provided by the local community.”
