The Deputy Mayor of Mansfield, Coun Roger Sutcliffe officially launched the Four Seasons Shopping Centre’s Great British Bag-athon event on Saturday by being the first person to take up the challenge and donate a bag of unwanted items to British Heart Foundation (BHF) Shops new campaign.
The Great British Bag-athon at Four Seasons is asking the local community to pull together and challenging them to raise as many bags of lovely things as possible, which will go on to be sold in local BHF Shops helping the fight against heart disease.
Bags of lovely clothing, toys, accessories, shoes, CDs, DVDs, books, toys etc can be taken back to the drop off point in the shopping centre between 1st and 2nd September or given to the local BHF Shop after that date.
Rebekah O’Neill, Centre Manager at Four Seasons said:“It’s wonderful to see people in the local community getting involved in the campaign. Whether groups are getting together to donate 5, 10, or 20 bags, or individuals are donating just one bag, it’s all extremely gratefully received and will help the BHF to continue its lifesaving.”
