Fothergills opens to offer Mansfield a new high-class dining experience

The 48-seat Fothergills restaurant, which is located in the former Lambs at the Market building on Nottingham Road, will offer a variety of top-quality dishes and feature the best possible locally sourced meats and vegetables and an extensive drinks menu.

The venture has been launched by The Redgate owner Jason Booth and chef Phil Hodges.

“We have enjoyed success at the Redgate, but it will be nice to have a bigger place where we have more space for serving food,” said Mr Booth.

“Everything we serve will be locally sourced and fresh. We do not serve fast food, we offer a dining experience for the people of Mansfield.

“The Redgate is a wonderful place with a good clientele and we hope for the same here.

“It is going to be very exciting when we open. We have had our ups and downs and have had some snags, but we are now ready to open and cannot wait.

“I will be feeling nervous when we open, but also excited.”

The restaurant is named after Mansfield-born architect Fothergill Wilson, who developed the building before he moved to Nottingham.
