Forces’ Canteen volunteers
These are some of the team of volunteer staff who worked at The Forces Canteen between 1940 and 1945. The canteen was at Renola Works on Watnall Road and provided an atmosphere of homely friendliness for the service people from the aerodrome and the camp who really appreciated the service.
