Opera North is staging five performances at Nottingham Theatre Royal, in an exciting season themed around ‘Liberty.’

Prisoners dare to dream of freedom in Janacek’s From the House of the Dead, one woman risks all in an audacious attempt to break her husband out of prison in Beethoven’s Fidelio, and a rebellious young woman refuses to be controlled by men in a daringly different production of Bizet’s classic opera Carmen.

Carmen is being staged at the Theatre Royal on Tuesday 24th and Friday 27th May at 7pm, Fidelio on Wednesday 25th and Saturday 28th at 7.30pm and From the House of the Dead Thursday 26th May at 7.30pm.
