The Great War is the subject of the latest exhibition to go on display at Mansfield Museum.

Staff and students from Garibaldi College have worked closely with museum staff over the past two years to put together the exhibition. It is designed to show how students and the college community commemorated the centenary of World War One in 2014 and the marking of 100 years since the opening of the First World War training Camp at Clipstone.

The education officer at the museum sought submissions for the design of a banner, poster, commemorative wall plaque and display idea for recording the names of the visitors attending the exhibition, which is entitled ‘Lest we Forget’. The work on display includes, ink banner designs, work journal research books and commemorative plaques.

College administration manager, Sally Hickling, said: “Taken together this exhibition goes some way towards encapsulating how the Garibaldi College community has responded to the events, experiences and legacy of the First World War.”
