Firefighters tackle Selston flat fire

An elderly man was led to safety as firefighters tackled a flat fire in Selston.

Crews were called to the blaze at Lindley Street at 6.30am today (Sunday May 28).

The man was led to safety by fire crews and treated by East Midlands Ambulance Service.

Firefighters from Ashfield and Ilkeston used breathing apparatus and a hosereel jet during the operation which was closed at 7.15am.
