Firefighters tackle house blaze in former Mansfield pit village

Firefighters wore breathing apparatus to fight a blaze which broke out at a house in a former Mansfield pit village last night.

Fire crews from Edwinstowe and Mansfield fire stations were sent out to deal with the blaze which happened at a house on First Avenue, Clipstone, after receiving a call at 7.30pm.

A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews used one hose reel jet and two breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire.”
