Firefighters save six people from burning Ashfield care home

Firefighters from Ashfield and Mansfield were called to the home on Lucknow Drive at 10.15pm on Sunday.

They battled the blaze and saved six people from the building.

Five of them were treated at the scene by paramedics and one person was taken to hospital by road ambulance.

Crews left the incident after about two hours.

A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said investigations are currently taking place to determine the cause of the blaze.
